Vaseline cocoa butter lotion & Blog Anniversary Alert

A year ago I started blogging to spend my leisure time. After a deep research I decided to blogging but I never knew I will ever going to continue this. I just needed to share my views and expect nothing in return.  In starting I was interested on writing general stuffs but lately I was more interest in writing reviews. Well, now as a mom I hardly find time to think random stuffs, but it’s easy for me to write reviews on products because I am a person who loves using varies products. I know you too love it. But you know what it means. I was completely inactive when I was pregnant due to my morning sickness and then shifting to Doha to Colombo. But now I am trying to write at least a post per week to keep my blog alive. But as I said, it is hard to find time to blogging because my baby needs more attention as she is still 2 month old. Any way I would like to THANK to all who supported me from the starting till now by commenting on posts and following my blog, and would like to thank silent readers too. And also I am planning on a Giveaway to celebrate my Blog anniversary. I haven’t yet decided when and what, but it will start soon for sure. Till then tell your friends about my blog. If you haven't follow my blog yet. you can do it now through Google Friend Connect. you can find it right side on the blog. And do  like my facebook page Blog Impulse to get updates. I also love to hear your advices and suggestions as it is my first GIVEAWAY.

OK, Now lets have a look on what I take to review on this cozy rainy day.

Vaseline cocoa butter lotion

‘Vaseline cocoa butter deep conditioning body lotion with cocoa butter and vitamin E’ huh…what a big name it is!I bought this about 6 months ago and finished very recently. Don’t be surprise! I haven’t use this regularly. I was used to baby lotions lately and empty my baby’s lotion bottles. Yes, I know I might not do that! I will stop doing that right now, OK. now let’s see what Vaseline cocoa butter claims,

“Vaseline cocoa butter lotion melts into skin to smooth away roughness and the appearance of uneven areas, igniting skin’s natural glow at the source.
- Rich cocoa butter – helps even skin texture
- conditioning moisture – leave skin smooth and supple”

And it says to apply daily for healthy looking skin. I can’t clearly say it does its job as it claims. But I can see a different in my skin. Specially like my elbow areas. Since I have been using few other lotions and creams, I am not sure which cream done that job. I have a normal skin which dries only in climate changes or if use water.  In those times this lotion gives me enough moisture. Talking about texture, it has really watery kind texture. It seems like melting butterscotch ice cream. Yes, it looks like that.It gives a kind of wet feeling first but then absorb to skin and leave a moisture. Naturally my palms and feet are likely to sweat as always, and this lotion increases it. Other than that it has no greasy or sweaty effect on applied areas. My most favorite part in this lotion is it smell... have you ever eaten butter toffees? Mm... If you are a fan of it beware you may eat this. LOL! I looove this smell. And people at my home like ‘ Ahh we need toffees right now’. interestingly my husband like this lotion too. he is not a person who loves using creams and all. but he like this. Finally it is not best but something good for daily use.and also available in reasonable price.

MOMMY & ME STRETCH MARK CREAM REVIEW

Hello lovelies!! After loooong break. If you have been visit my blog and facebook page regurally you may know that I was pregnant. I had a baby girl on 7th  April. It’s a news.
The reason I have been absent quite long time is I was more concentrate on getting ready for baby arrive and spending a lot of time with family. But as things getting normal I thought this is high time I should get back to my favorite blogger thing.  So here I am back.

Like most of new mommies my biggest conscious after having baby is my body. Dark pigments on some parts of skin like neck, armpit, belly. Stretch marks. And be on shape. No matter what remedies we try, How much conscious we are about that, we can’t avoid them happening. And it is not possible to get rid of them as quick we hope. Well but this is not something where I talk how to get rid of them. So let’s go to topic.

MOMMY & ME STRETCH MARK CREAM is something I chose to help me to prevent stretch marks during my pregnancy. I have been used this on my third trimester. alternatively I used a mixture of same amount of almond & olive oil to massage my belly now and then.  I make my review in short.

MOMMY & ME STRETCH MARK CREAM is to help diminish stretch marks before and after pregnancy.

Smell: hard to explain. Some may hate while some may feel it has a nice smell. For me it is not something special but sure not an unbearable smell.

Texture:  off white in color,  watery type cream.

How to use: it is recommended to use 2 to 4 times a day as needed. As I use this along with olive & almaond oil, I only used this 2 times a day. All you need is to gently massage this on tummy after wash.

Result:  couldn’t say I got positive result at all. But this cream sure help me from itchiness and moisturize well. Anyway there is no cream to diminish stretch marks whatsoever.May be I should use this even after giving birth to see a better result. May be!! But I omit to buy this again as it quite expencive.  But I will not quit trying. so I switch to my alternative option almond and olive oil combination. And also in search of more tips and remedies to be quit of stretch marks.

Now tell me have you tried this cream to prevent stretch marks? And does it help?
and also share your thoughts, experiences,  tips and remedies which help reduse stretch marks.

Little bit for Monsoon

Personally I'm not a person who thinks Rain is romantic. And not in interest in such filmy things during Rain. but I am not hating it either. Rather I can say Rain is relaxing,,, aaaaaannnnd Perfect for sleeping..
as I am now in middle east, Monsoon is not anyway here. But I have monsoon experience from my childhood. a bit hard season for skin and body. so thought to share some tips in general for monsoon.

  • Drink water. to keep your skin and body healthy. ya I know it makes to be in the Bathroom often. but  your skin needs water to keep moisture.
  • choose hot Beverages than chilled soft drinks. cool drinks make you to go to bathroom soon than hot drinks. try if you not believe. anyway Having a cup of Hot COFFEE or Tea is most refreshing on rainy days.
  • after bath dry your hair properly, apply moisturize lotion, and lip balm. I don't like to oil my hair on this season. so I prefer leave on conditioner to avoid dry hair. Not good to go with gels, creams, moose or hair styles on monsoon.keep your hair natural is the best way.
  • wear a slipper or socks even at home. because the floor or tile may be cold these days. it can make cracks in your foots. or if you already having it'll be more painful to walking on the cold floor. better use an foot cream these days.

Going Out

eeeewww.. Going out in monsoon is really annoying. if it is me I don't even keep my legs on the floor. but everyone can't avoid going out. you cannot predict when will the rain drop fall. So be ready.
  • never forget to bring an Umbrella in your bag.
  • Don't choose light color clothes which can spot mud or dirt soon.  choose dark color dresses instead.
well if your schooling then no options. you may select a rain coat. I prefer to not to Expose on rainy days(actually not in any day) be sure to cover your self properly as a precaution in case you get wet. not a pleasure to see your undies over your clothes in a public bus. if it is, you have to face lots of unconfortables! what about a coat over your clothes or a stylish Raincoat.
Here are few rainy day Outfits ideas from web..

  • another thing you have to keep on mind is to carry an waterproof bag. such as leather. because there is lot of chances to get wet, even you carry an umbrella. so keep it on mind to keep your things from get wet.
  • wear a pair of flip flop or flat shoes. can prevent you from slips, and easy to remove muds.
  • avoid over make ups. go normal. rather than make ups, keep your mind on skin to prevent it from being dry.choose a good moisturize lotion. choose a good misturizing cream for your face. and a lip balm. don't forget them in your bag when you go out. better avoid foundation if it is necessary just go with a simple make up.foundation, Highlight your eyes with a pencil & waterproof mascara, and your lips with natural shades.
(P.S: Images are Googled. I don't Own them.)

~My Secret Crush~ review

being bit lazy these days..no, not exactly lazy, exhausted by the Ifthar prorammes, and eid shopping. you know how it busy in the festival season.
so here today I came to my blogging world with another review post.
reviewing my 'Secret Crush' today..yes!! strait to the point!
I'm having a secret crush since last 2 months.ahh!!
are you like "What"?????

No suspens!
meet my Secret Crush here,
Goya Secret Crush
it is a Body Spray comes with the name 'Secret Crush'.
before 2 months ago I bought from a local shop in sri lanka..
at the store I didn't like the smell though. I bought it only because my sister recommend it as a good smell. but nowadays I love to spray it after night bath.
so here my review for goya Secret Crush.

First of all I don't know why they name it as 'Secret Crush'. may be because it is perfect for a date night with your secret crush. or shall I say it is secret of crush..whatever!

  • Smell -  A strong smell. I feel it like baby colong. ideal for long lasting smell through out the day.it leaves a powdery smell until next day. a loudy smell, so spraying a little is more enough.
  • How to spray - even if it is a body spray I feel like burning it on under arms. so I always spray it on my dress. except that I spray a little with 15cm distance on pulse areas, specially on two sides of neck
tip: When you go out better spray it before 15 mins.
  • Why I like This - a thin pinky girlish bottle, can easily carrying with your bag, long lasting smell, and my hubby like it.
  • What I Hate In This I can't bear it's stongest scent if I spray a little more accidently.
  • Will I recommend it - if you like srtong & long lasting baby colong smell then this is perfect for you. if your too sensitive to scents, then this is not the right product for you.
btw isn't it going well with my pinky backgroung?
